Predation styles of various dromaeosaurs.
Dromaeosaurines (represented by Dromaeosaurus here) use their robust heads for dispatching prey, and probably only used their sickle claws as extra restraints.
Velociraptorines (represented by Velociraptor here) are the opposite, instead focusing more on their sickle claws. Here it’s using the Raptor Prey Restraint model, where they jump up on their prey, flapping their arms to maintain balance, and eat while it’s still alive.
Unenlagiines (represented by Unenlagia here) look specialized towards fishing, so they probably hunted similar to extant wading birds, striking with their long heads to grab fish in their cone-shaped teeth. They probably also hunted other small things, like mammals, birds, and the occasional weak or baby dinosaur.
